UHC and St. Joe Reach Agreement
Important Update for UnitedHealthcare Members
Today St Joseph Health System and UnitedHealthcare announced they have reached a new multi-year agreement to bring St. Joseph Health back in network. The deal has been retroactively approved back to July 1st. That means if you sought care while the negotiations were pending, you will be covered as in-network. We are grateful that the turmoil caused by these negotiations has come to end, for the benefit of the 13,000 affected members in Michiana.
Can I Resume Care with St. Joseph Health?
Yes! UnitedHealthcare members once again have access to the doctors and facilities of St. Joseph Health System, effective immediately.
What If UHC Already Approved Continuity of Care?
You do not need to do anything if UHC has approved your continuity of care request.
What If I Had a Bill Between July 1st and July 20th?
UnitedHealthcare and St. Joe have agreed to process all claims during this period as in-network.
