Aetna & St. Joe Reach Multi-Year Agreement

Important Update for clients with Aetna Medicare insurance plans

We are pleased to share that Saint Joseph Health System and Aetna have reached a new multi-year agreement. The new agreement keeps St. Joe in-network for Aetna Medicare and Aetna Health Insurance plans. The agreement has been retroactively approved starting January 1st 2025. These means any care received after January 1st should be covered as in-network. You should continue to schedule appointments and seek care at Saint Joseph Health System without any disruption.

What is happening? 

Saint Joseph Health System and Aetna have renewed their agreement to work together. This new agreement will maintain Saint Joseph Health System hospitals, facilities and health care providers in network. From time to time, these negotiations are needed for both sides to reach a fair and reasonable contract.

I have Aetna. Do I need to do anything?

No, you may resume seeking care as normal. You can continue visit Saint Joseph Health System facilities and doctors and no action is needed at this time.

Aetna approved me for Transition of Care. What do I need to do?

No action is required at this time. You may continue to visit Saint Joseph Health System for care at In-network costs.
